In the second semester of 2022, the Monosuisse Group started production of the core-sheath polymer fibre at its facility in Poland.

The core-sheath fibre is a product consisting of two materials: a core and a sheath. The core could be a fibre such as a monofilament, a twisted fibre or even a multifilament yarn produced from variety of polymers. The core is fully surrounded by the second component known as a sheath. In this technology, different polymers can be applied as a sheath over a solid core of another polymer by a mean of extrusion process, thus resulting in a variety of modified properties while maintaining the major property of the core.

Core-sheath fibres coated with perfluorinated ethylene-propylene (FEP), polypropylene (PP) and polyurethane (TPU) are now available in the Monosuisse product portfolio. If you are interested in, please contact us at info@monosuisse.com
